Defined by resilience, this natural born leader has had a few bumps on the road but that hasn’t stopped her from rising up the ladder of success. 


Following her mantra “nothing is impossible”, her natural talent of meeting, interacting and establishing strong bonds with people has made her a powerful and unique entrepreneur. 

 

With more than 20 years juggling between a huge array of roles – Finance, Marketing and Senior Management – in Sydney based agencies, Kylie decided to make her move and founded Kaleidoscope Marketing Communications at 29 years of age. Going independent is always a bold and risky business but her conviction, insatiable drive and infectious passion for promotional marketing has placed Kaleidoscope as an award winning brand activation agency and a point of reference in the industry. 

 

Even though she is financially minded, her head is always filled with concepts, ideas and solutions. Generosity defines her. Mentoring, learning, and constantly seeking out new experiences is big part of her constant growth. Finding inspiration from her family and team members keeps her leading Kaleidoscope with passion and determination. 

 

Her professional life has been defined by strong and healthy relationships with a wide range of memorable clients including Nestlé, Campbell Arnott’s, Emirates, Panasonic, Diageo, The Good Guys, Weight Watchers and GlaxoSmithKline. Dedication, true commitment to go above and beyond and exceeding expectations are the main reasons why Kylie still maintains unbreakable bonds with most of the brands she has handled through her solid career.  

 

Kylie has taken the Kaleidoscope name and mixed it with style, heart and dedication – second to none. Today, it has been 12 magnificent years – 7 as an independent boutique agency and 5 years within the Photon Group of companies with Kylie remaining at the helm. With offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane she maintains focus on client relationships, communication channels, innovation, unrivalled dedication and active involvement in all areas of the business in order to create a real difference for her clients.  

 

Kylie’s persona, full of bravery, courage and passion has taken Kaleidoscope on an amazing journey: from a small beginning into a strong present, heading towards an unforgettable future - always changing and always evolving.

Alan Riva - General Manager/Director Of Experiences

 

 

Having fun can definitely be a great source of inspiration and that’s what Alan is all about. Sitting down to chat with this British bloke is a breath of fresh air; his passion and authenticity can be infectious.

 

He believes in experiencing life to the fullest, after all as he says, “we are human beings and are experiential by definition”. His approach and belief in the unique power of experiences, in building relationships between brands and audiences, have shaped his work across the globe.

 

Kicking off his career in the late nineties when the term ‘Experiential’ was being birthed in the UK, Alan brings an outstanding wealth of experience and passion to the discipline in Australia.  From Europe’s largest festivals, to the European Formula 1 events and the creation of many of the brand entertainment platforms of the time, Alan thrived off creating and activating strategies for some of the world’s best known brands including Foster’s Lager, Beck’s, Gillette and Duracell.  The most fun?  Conjuring up Bondi Beach in central London for the year’s Australia Day celebration. For the first time in history Trafalgar Square was transformed into a massive beach party, with over 10,000 ‘satellite’ parties celebrating Australia Day with Foster’s throughout the land.

 

From the UK and the marketing industry, Alan turned his focus from building other people’s brands to investing his knowledge into building a business of his own.  Along with his partners he set out to create a boutique Eco-Resort concept that would, two years later, become Salamander Hideaway on the island of Ambergris Caye, Belize.  The project allowed Alan to mix many of his passions into one job. The resort is ‘an experience enriched environment’ to the core, environmentally sustainable and required Alan to live in raw jungle, 14 miles from the nearest road or habitation for the 18 month construction period.  Once built, the tropical outpost was soon recognised as one of the region’s true sanctuaries and seeing the guests revel in the Salamander experience remains one of Alan’s career highlights. 

 

From Belize to Australia, Alan is now General Manager and Director of Experiences for the award winning Brand Activation agency, Kaleidoscope Marketing Communications (perhaps best to include full name to avoid confusion).  Here he plies (yes can be written as “plies” or “plys”) his trade with clients such as Panasonic, Emirates, Nivea and Lavazza, where his daily grind includes a range of challenges from launching Panasonic HD 3DTV to launching himself out of a helicopter into fresh powder.  Whatever it is, Alan continues to have fun while challenging himself, and his team, to develop ever richer, more authentic experiences that engage and create connections between a brand and its audience, ultimately inspiring.

Guy Johnson - Client Services Director

 

 

Honesty fuels the spirit of this restless character. He is true to his word: “I will never let my clients down because I strongly believe in honest and transparent communication”, he says with conviction. He defines himself as a ‘people’s person’ and he is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure his customers’ needs and expectations are met.  


His down to earth and methodical thinking has earned him a place in the prestigious Brand Activation agency, Kaleidoscope Marketing Communications.

 

After gaining extensive experience in numerous marketing disciplines both in the UK and Australia, he became the head of Client Services; always delivering fast results in an accurate fashion.  


It’s been a long and well-traveled road for Guy; since he was 15 years old he found himself immersed in the world of Marketing. He has certainly worked his way through the ranks, managing clients such as Coca Cola, Heinz, Budweiser, Volvo and Orange Telecommunications in the UK. At Kaleidoscope, he is the main key point of contact for Panasonic, Emirates, Cerebos, Merial and Beiersdorf.

 

He’s always looking for the next big challenge that the industry has to throw at him; fearless and filled with positive thought, he is constantly aiming for the most effective, productive and inspiring Account Service in the market. It’s all about precision, uniqueness and definitely no bull with this mate; what you see is definitely what you get.

  

Believing that establishing memorable relationships is the key to successful living or the terrible demise of any business, as he once stated: “You can do great work but unless your people are heading in the same direction and unless you get like for like buy-in from clients you are going to fail in this industry." 

 

When he is not maneuvering over the rough ground of fatherhood (or on the golf course), he keeps doing an excellent job steering the wheel of Client Services. Dealing with all major clients and constantly mentoring staff members because he believes that “the agency is only as strong as the people within its walls”, Guy keeps feeding the energy embedded in Kaleidoscope’s essence, the same energy that shapes its constant and evolving transformation.

Nicole Standbridge - Group Account Director/Manager of Brisbane Office

 

Nicole joined kaleidoscope in the first year the agency was launched, and has proven to be not only a loyal member of the team but an integral part of the very foundations that Kaleidoscope has been built upon.

Nicole has purposefully worked her way up through the ranks to now managing our Queensland satellite office.

Needless to say, Nicole knows and understands precisely, how every facet of the agency works. Her focus is relentlessly steered toward the clients, the business, and the entire staff, all with a professional persona and genuinely geared attitude.
